October is Registered Veterinary Technician Month

Students from the vet tech program dressed in scrubs holding a catCelebrate Registered Veterinary Technician Month by learning about the Veterinary Technician program and by checking out the animals these students help facilitate for adoption.

The two-year Algonquin College Veterinary Technician Ontario College Diploma program prepares our learners to enter the veterinary profession by offering an authentic learning experience working alongside highly credentialed professionals in our on-campus veterinary medical facility and in our partnering facilities in the local community.

As part of this program, did you know that our Veterinary Technician and Assistant students also help facilitate animals for adoption? With the guidance of our excellent facility veterinarians and our veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants – all of the pets are neutered, microchipped and vaccinated here at the College.

If you are looking to add a furry friend to your family, or know someone who is, make sure to check out Algonquin College’s pets for adoption!
