New certificate program primes you for a career in plumbing!

With the new winter semester upon us, we’ve got a new program starting – Mechanical Techniques – Plumbing! This new one-year certificate program, which held its first class on Wednesday, equips students with theory and practical experience to gain an entry level position in this in-demand trade.
Upon successful completion of this program, graduates may find entry-level employment in related fields to plumbing where a strong knowledge of plumbing systems is important. These fields can include construction labour, as well as retail and wholesale sales and marketing of plumbing related products. Graduates interested in attaining further education in this field are well positioned to pursue an apprenticeship to become a licensed plumbing journeyman.
