Algonquin College takes pride in its commitment to making Indigenous Knowledge and Truth and Reconciliation an integral part of the institution’s culture.

Part of that commitment includes language revitalization and embracing the traditional Anishinàbe Algonquin Nation language on campus.

Algonquin College’s Kwey Series includes a selection of words, vocabulary, phrases and expressions to familiarize learners and employees with the traditional language.

Indigenous languages are an important part of how culture and identity is expressed and passed on to future generations.
