Need cash? Hungry? Have dreams of being a movie star? Well, you’re in luck!
Six days of shooting for His Master’s Voice on the Algonquin College Ottawa Campus begins Friday, and the casting director is in immediate need of extras. By the first week of September when filming in the city wraps, he’ll have put 500 extras to work.
The flick, a Hungarian-Canadian co-production directed by acclaimed filmmaker György Pálfi, is being shot at locations in and around Ottawa.
The extras will appear in the background of scenes, and the acting will be simple: walking, eating, chatting and studying.
Extras will be paid $12.25 an hour and snacks and meals will be provided while they are on the set.
This is an excellent opportunity for students because much of your time will be spent in a comfortable waiting area as the film crew set up shots. As you wait, you can catch up on your reading or your homework, or try to catch any Pokémon in the vicinity.
If you’re interested in participating, register at extrawork.ca. Once you’re signed up, you will start receiving emails with shooting dates.
Hope to see you on the big screen soon!
