Brit O’Neill Turns in One Brush for Another

For Dental Hygiene student Britt O’Neill from Ancaster, Ontario, the opportunity of a lifetime awaits in Grand Prairie, Alberta.

Britt, a member of Team Ontario, is currently competing alongside Karen Sagle, an alumna of the College’s Event Management program, and Jenn and Stephanie Hanna in the Scotties Tournament of Hearts. And you can cheer Team Hanna on in the Marketplace Food Court this week! Food Services will be broadcasting Team Ontario’s games on Wednesday February 24 at 3:30 and 8:30 pm Eastern time, and Friday February 26 at 8:30 pm Eastern. Continue reading

We are always told that taking a step back from a situation gives us a different perspective that changes our standpoint. I always believed in that statement, but never have I practiced it as objectively as I did last week at the Design Thinking MobFest event held by Algonquin College’s Entrepreneurship Office. We all know the pattern. Hoping for change, we ring in the New Year with an ambitious goal for self-improvement. We resolve to start exercising, read more books, or make smarter financial decisions, but by early February many of us have already thrown in the towel. We end up feeling overwhelmed and defeated.
