Remember to post on social media with the #BellLetsTalk hashtag!

Bell Let’s Talk Photobooths will be available on Algonquin College’s Ottawa, Perth and Pembroke campuses.

Q: What is the goal of the Bell Let’s Talk Photobooths?

A: The photobooths will feature Bell Let’s Talk empty speech bubbles in which students to write a personal message about Mental Health. Students can write their own message or answer questions and prompts provided by the volunteer running the booth (Examples: What does mental health mean to you? What words of encouragement would you offer for those struggling with their mental health?)

Q: What can students do with their photo?

A: Share it! On Bell Let’s Talk Day, Bell will donate more towards mental health initiatives in Canada by contributing 5¢ for every applicable text, call, tweet, social media video view and use of our Facebook frame or Snapchat filter.

Algonquin College Dog Squad

Algonquin’s Dog Squad will also be on duty for Bell Let’s Talk Day. A year to the date that our therapy dog program was announced, our very own Dog Squad will be reporting for duty!

Join our some of our newest canine friends at the Ottawa Campus Jan. 30 (Bell Let’s Talk Day) from 2-3 p.m. in E building. Jessie and Fozzie will be introducing themselves to staff and students alike in the Student Commons. Keep an eye out for them in their new Algonquin College Dog Squad jackets!

In keeping with the College’s core values of caring, learning, integrity and respect, the Dog Squad program has been created to support and enhance the mental health and well-being of employees and students on campus. To learn more about Algonquin College’s Dog Squad, see here.
