Episode #12 Perth Campus

Today were going to learn a little bit about Algonquin College’s Perth Campus, located about an hour west of Ottawa. Episode #9 Mamidosewin Centre

For over 20 years the goal of the Mamidosewin Centre has been to empower and support Indigenous students at Algonquin College into the next phase of their lives in a way that is respectful and reflective of Indigenous cultures.

Episode #8 AC Summer Employment Opportunities

Today we’re talking about how the College is able to help students find work this summer.

The Employment Support Centre provide career readiness support and resources to help students and graduates prepare for job and career success. They can also help you search through job listings, review your resume and help you prepare for an upcoming interview.

Episode #7 Social Media

On April 11, Algonquin College launched a TikTok account, creating yet another social media platform to engage with students, alumni, employees and the community. The College’s TikTok account joins accounts on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram. Post-secondary institutions are increasingly looking for new ways to engage with potential students and social media is a great way to do this.

Episode #6 AC Online and Corporate Training

Algonquin College’s AC Online is a bit of a pioneer in the online learning space. Learn more about AC Online, who have been at the head of the class before the class was even online.

Episode #5 Accessibility

Algonquin College is in the midst of creating a new, multi-year Accessibility Plan. The Accessibility Plan is a key component guiding College efforts as well as ensuring the College meets the requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

Episode #4 Mental Health Awareness Week

Mental Health Awareness Week is Jan. 24-28. Every year, Algonquin College hosts multiple events, workshops, and speakers to bring awareness and provide students, staff and faculty with mental health resources.
