What is your favorite memory from your time at Algonquin College?
My favorite memory from my time at Algonquin College is hosting the African Students’ Alliance (A.S.A) Taste of Africa event during Black History Month. Introducing the Algonquin community to the flavor’s, fashion and, cultures that come from the African continent in such an exciting way brought me a lot of joy.

What made your experience at Algonquin College authentic?
Being president and a club member of African Student Alliance (A.S.A). I felt that in was part of a club that brought together people who shared the similar struggles, experiences, and goals. It was a little home away from home.

What advice do you have for fellow graduates?
This is just the beginning, so enjoy the journey and create a life you can be proud of.

What advice do you have for future students?
They are going to be hills and valleys, you don’t have to know everything, but be willing to listen, learn and adapt.

The dedication and energy of my weekend architectural technician classmates.

What advice do you have for fellow graduates?
Don’t consider yourself unfit for a job description just because it lists items you may not have. They are typically describing their ideal candidate and rarely, if ever, find such people.

What advice do you have for future students?
Cultivate your curiosity. Even a familiar topic can provide fresh insights and engaged learning if you approach it with curiosity.

Business – Management and Entrepreneurship program, School of Business.

What is your favourite memory from your time at Algonquin College?
I think my favourrite memory from while we were still having in-person classes would be getting lost in the corridors of the college with my friends after running to Tim Hortons for a quick coffee. It’s funny and sad that after two whole semesters when we finally starting recognizing the halls, we had to stop going to campus.

What made your experience at Algonquin College authentic?
My experience at Algonquin taught me that I don’t have to be just one thing. We can learn and be all that we wish to be by putting in the work. Algonquin taught me how to aim for excellence and survive in the real world. My program, BME – and I can assume the entire School of Business – has helped us learn how to be our authentic selves.

What is your advice for fellow graduates?
Don’t let fear of uncertainty or failure get to you. If we’ve learned one thing in the Business Program, it is that failure is okay, as long as you learn from it and try again. Believe in yourself, even when others don’t, and you will see yourself achieve all that you want to.
