An Important message for students:

To keep your information safeguarded, we are updating our systems for email access. As of August 27 at 3:00 p.m., you may not be able to access your Algonquin College email account via your current email applications. This change is being made to maintain compatibility with security improvements that Microsoft is planning in the future.

Access to email using the Microsoft Outlook application (installed on all standard College laptops and desktops), the Microsoft Mail Windows 10 application, the Outlook app (available for most mobile devices) and via a web browser will not be affected. Any other email app or client may no longer function to access your College email.

In advance of AUG. 27, 2020, at 3:00 p.m., please install and configure a compatible email application. A list of email applications officially supported by the College ITS department is provided below. Installation instructions have also been included (where applicable). It is possible that as time progresses, vendors will release new versions of their email applications that are compatible. Users preferring applications not listed below are responsible for verifying functionality.

  • Windows 10
    • Outlook 2016 or later, Windows Mail client (from Microsoft Store), Office365 ProPlus (Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise), Accessing email via a web browser.
  • MacOS
    • Office365 ProPlus (Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise), Accessing email via a web browser.
  • Linux
    • Accessing email via a web browser.
  • iOS & Android
    • Outlook App, Accessing email via a web browser.
  • Web browser, or any other platform not listed above
    • Accessing email via a web browser.
