ACPR Speak Up! Campaign Events

Speak Up Banner

Each semester, the Algonquin College Public Relations students choose a local charity to support, and launch a campaign benefiting the organization. This semester’s charity is Interval House of Ottawa, and the students are planning five events as part of the Speak Up! campaign.

Interval House of Ottawa is a local non-profit organization that provides a safe shelter to all persons who identify as women and their dependents – pets included – who are living or have lived in an abusive relationship. They also provide services such as a crisis line, available 24/7, which receives more than 2,000 calls each year, as well as counselling sessions for women, youth, and children, inside and outside the shelter. The goal of the campaign is to raise $15,000 for the organization, and there are numerous ways to get involved and show support. See the list below of the student run events that are taking place this month in support of the Speak Up! campaign benefitting Interval House of Ottawa.
