Mobile Device – Computer Systems Technician

The following mobile device specifications are required for the Computer Systems Technician program:

Specifics required for your program are listed with an asterisk (**)

  • Intel Core i7 or equivalent processor
  • 16GB or more of RAM
  • 1TB or larger SSD Hard Drive
  • 1 full size USB 3.0 port **
  • 15 inch or larger screen
  • Dedicated Video Card with at least 2GB of RAM
  • Wireless 802.11ac
  • Wired Ethernet port 10/100/1000 (Wireshark compatible USB Network adapter or onboard) **
  • Windows 11 (Home, Educational, or Pro versions). Note: Windows 11S is not recommended for use at Algonquin College.

For a better experience we recommend:

  • 32GB of RAM
  • Webcam with mic
  • 2 year warranty
  • 2 hours of battery life
