How Algonquin is supporting your start up: Starting a business isn’t easy, luckily for us it was a passion at a young age. Still in high school, we started to create our service. Being so young we had to bring a lot of value to our customers. This helped us find our company values. Algonquin coming into the picture 7 years later and changed the game. Essentially Algonquin helped us apply our company values in the correct way. Within the passed 2 years our company has almost doubled. Having experts at your fingertips and mentors to help with school but also our company. We are looking forward to grow and include Algonquin in future plans.

The AC Market allows small businesses to gain public viewing and/or acknowledgement by doing what would normally be a very expensive marketing tactic for free.

How Algonquin is supporting your start up: Andrew Foti has been key in helping us get to where we are. He gave us some advice, encouragement and pointed us in the right direction.
Algonquin has offered to its BME students a wide variety of venues for starting a business. The course content encourages entrepreneurialism and it is suggested that if you have an idea that you can apply to the course content to then it makes the learning experience more relevant.
Being a member of the entrepreneurs club keeps students engaged in current events relating to start ups. I have attended conferences (Legacy), pitches, informative seminars, competed in competitions/ games relating to business development, job fairs, all offered through the college. I feel that by attending these events that I am getting twice the education, while learning the skills that will help launch my business.
Furthermore the ARI department can is going to help us develop the product and hopefully bring it to market. I firmly believe that a student with good concept can develop it into a legitimate business with tools that Algonquin provides.
