Success Stories and Testimonials

Office Admin - Health grad Heather Mahon“I started at Algonquin College because I was looking to change my career but happily, I ended up finding much more than that. I chose to enroll in the Office Administration – Health Services course because I wanted to work in healthcare and provide support to people in need.

Algonquin College supplied me with not only the tools I needed to succeed but their professors expertly guided me through the two years of intense course load. It was with their vested interest that I was able to graduate with honours and reach my goal of working at The Ottawa Hospital.

While there was still a lot to learn when starting at The Ottawa Hospital, the Office Administration – Health Services program provided a strong base of knowledge of the inner workings of the healthcare system and gave me the confidence to pursue my goal. The courses are well thought out and provide a wide range of skills that I use daily. I am a working professional and I am grateful for my experience at Algonquin College.”

“Choosing this program was easily one of the best decisions that I have ever made. The classes in this program provide excellent hands-on skills that the medical profession is looking for and the co-op program provides you with real-life experiences.

After I had graduated from the program, I was given a job opportunity at a medical clinic. The biggest reason for my success was the skills and knowledge that I had learned from the program which had prepared me for this job in the best way possible and the teachers had put all their time and efforts into the class and students.”
