Led by our senior-level students from Financial Services – Canadian Context, Accounting and Financial Practice and Business Administration – Accounting, under the expert guidance of our faculty, this is your gateway to understanding the intricacies of tax returns. We’re here to offer you free insights and knowledge on various tax-related topics, including tax obligations, residency status, and available exemptions that could significantly benefit your return.

  • Maximize Refunds: Volunteers can help you with the CRA UFILE software, potentially leading to higher tax refunds.
    For example:

    • Ontario Energy and Property Tax Credit (OEPTC): If you meet specific criteria as a resident, you can receive this credit to help offset the costs of energy and property taxes.
    • GST/HST Credit: Eligible residents may receive quarterly payments to help with the Goods and Services Tax/Harmonized Sales Tax expenses.
