“Algonquin’s Event Management program reinforced and improved my skill-set, while also exposing me to a truly vast professional network. Since graduating, I have held progressively more senior event positions with not-for-profit associations and academic organizations. My education, combined with my experience, has also enabled me to earn my Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation – a globally recognized mark of excellence in the industry.”

“Upon graduating from the Event Management program, I started my career the following week as the Conference Manager for the Canadian Association of General Surgeons. After working there for two years, I accepted a position as a Conference Planner with the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine. I am excited to be advancing in the field of health care conference planning; an opportunity that would have never been available to me had I not been a graduate of the Event Management program. It not only provided me with the knowledge and resources I needed to start my career, but also connected me with a valuable network of professors, colleagues, and industry professionals. I would highly recommend the program to anyone considering a future in Event Management.”
