Work-Integrated Learning

Students participate in the annual Accounting Career Event, with panelists from CPA, program graduates, and Human Resources firms who discuss the current state of the industry, hiring statistics, key trends, and to give you a glimpse of what’s next in your career journey.

The program’s capstone course provides students the opportunity to apply the skills they have learned to a real world situation. Students are given several simulated projects where they apply the use of two different accounting software programs, Sage And Quickbooks Online to complete simulated transactions, payroll, and year-end activities, as well as Profile tax software to complete personal and corporate tax returns, and Excel and Power BI to present budgets and other business simulations.
