Success Stories and Testimonials
“The Bookkeeping and Accounting Practices program was extremely informative, engaging, and beneficial. It provided a lot of background understanding about how the industry operates, as well as first-hand experience of the types of programs and software used in a bookkeeping and accounting career. I regularly use the skills I learned in QuickBooks, Excel, payroll calculations, and tax remittance. Additionally, the Algonquin College Co-op & Career Centre provided extra assistance in the form of mental and physical health support, refining my resume, building extra study skills, and career preparation.
The classes were very enjoyable, the teachers were very helpful and knowledgeable, and the skills taught were immensely valuable. Knowing that the teachers were professionals in the industry brought extra insight and experience to the program, and provided extra guidance and mentorship. It also opened up opportunities to build rapport with people working in the industry, which provided additional job opportunities. This program directly connected me to my current career as a bookkeeping technician.”
