Dr. Carol Ann Samhaber is a Professor and Academic Coordinator of the Algonquin College Human Resources Management programs. Dr. Samhaber is highly involved in these programs as she develops courses and student assessment strategies, teaches and advises students, and fosters community relations through both an academic and human resources management lens. Above and beyond, she considers her role as an educator an honor. Carol Ann believes it is a privilege to provide students with a safe and inclusive learning space to prepare them for meaningful careers and to become contributing members of their communities.

Along with obtaining her Doctor of Education, she also holds a Master of Science, College Teaching and Learning. Her Doctor of Education research focus was faculty professional development, a field she ultimately views as key to strategic success and operational best practices. Carol Ann also holds several designations including her CBA, RPR, RPT, CHRL, CPHR, SHRM-SCP, and GPHR. Dr. Samhaber is the HRPA as Past Chair, Board of Directors Ottawa and District, SHRM, and is co-author of Canadian Strategic Compensation: A Human Resource Management Approach, and Recruitment and Selection: A Strategic Approach for Canadian Organizations, and Labour Relations.
