Community Partners
Transforming futures together.
At ASPIRE AC, we know that college success doesn’t only happen on campus – it’s made possible through a community-wide network of support and services. We collaborate with a variety of partners to help students access college, transition into post-secondary studies, achieve their education goals, and embark on careers that empower them to give back to the community.
ASPIRE AC has more than 40 partnerships with community groups and school boards. We take direct referrals from partners to help students make the leap to college, and we share information, resources, and best practices with our network of community stakeholders.
We also offer community stakeholders the opportunity to visit Algonquin College, so they can gain insight on how to support students who are seeking a post-secondary education. ASPIRE AC welcomes stakeholders to Algonquin in partnership with other College departments, including Academic Partnerships, Recruitment, Student Support Services, Financial Aid and Student Awards, and the Registrar’s Office.
Community Partner Testimonials
The ASPIRE AC program has been extremely beneficial for the students I support. The team has helped several of my students transition to college. They have met 1:1 with students, setting them up for success and showing them how to be an efficient student. They have also helped them apply and receive several bursaries from OSAP, walking them through the entire process. The team has gone above and beyond, supporting the Inuit students I work with. They ensure that they receive the support needed while understanding cultural competencies. ASPIRE AC has also been a wealth of knowledge with regards to other Algonquin supports and programs, referring myself and other students to several programs. Hunter has become my go to at Algonquin and I refer all new students to register with ASPIRE AC to receive continuous support and positive encouragement.

ASPIRE AC is a critical hub for some students to meet post-secondary success. Having a go-to place to access support for transitioning into college and getting connected to the Algonquin community once there, can make all the difference. It makes the mountain of the College experience seem less daunting for sure!
