Victimology Research Centre
The Victimology Research Centre works in partnership with non-profit organizations and local, provincial, and federal government stakeholders to study victimization, resilience, and experiences survivors have with the criminal justice system and service providers.
We conduct applied research and evaluation in victim services to improve outcomes and develop capacity in the sector. Our work includes a focus on posttraumatic change, vicarious resilience, and service provider wellness.
We develop training curricula, service standards, certifications, and continuing education for professionals working with victims and survivors of crime.
We’re committed to making knowledge accessible to service providers, policy makers, and people with lived experience.
