Project Description:

According to Ottawa Public Health, from 2011-2019, the rates of chlamydia have increased by 26%, the rates of gonorrhea increased 171% and the rates of syphillis have increased by 389%. Homeless youth in the Ottawa area are at a higher risk of developing sexually transmitted infections. In collaberation with Operation Come Home this project provided youth with an information session and educational resources to increase awareness regarding safe sex practices.


Short Description:

In collaberation with Operation Come Home , this project brought awareness and education to the STI rates and risk factors for the vurnrable youth in Ottawa.
