GHS Enterprise Promo Video

This promotional video was created for GHS Enterprise by the REHD Productions team of the Interactive Media Design program at Algonquin College. The video should highlight what GHS Enterprise is, and why its unique approach makes it the best choice amongst its competitors.

GHS Enterprise, founded by Greg Smith, is a business service provider focused on agility, innovation, and problem-solving for companies. They help devise agile and innovative solutions for cultural, learning, and people management. Helping businesses enhance workplace culture, streamline HR practices, and empower employees. Due to the small size of the GHS Enterprise team, they are better able to tailor their solutions to their clients’ individual needs to most effectively help them thrive. GHS Enterprise serves a diverse client market ranging from HR professionals and CEOs to start-up businesses.

The main narrative for this project was to highlight GHS’s unique holistic approach and its emphasis on inclusivity and community. To do this, we aimed during the pre-production stage to make a video that felt personal rather than commercial. REHD Productions researched effective techniques used in modern marketing and noted the effectiveness of client/customer testimonials. The project’s timing aligned well with a written testimonial in progress between Greg Smith and Patrick Devey, Associate VP at Algonquin College, though the interview was uncertain due to Patrick’s busy schedule. Later in the planning phase, a second client testimonial was planned to guarantee that a client’s feedback be included in the project. This second client, John Duncan, was scheduled to be interviewed through Zoom. By the end of the pre-production phase, a plan was established to interlace two client testimonials with stock footage to support the narrative.

The video portion of the production phase was kickstarted with the in-person interview with Patrick Devey, followed by the online audio recording with John Duncan, ending with a video shoot with Greg Smith to get a closing statement for the video. One big challenge during the production phase was finding high-quality stock video and audio with limited resources. In order to ensure that all stock footage used in the project was covered by Creative Commons and/or cleared for commercial use, we analyzed the Licensing agreements of various resources (paid subscriptions and free alternatives). From this research, we established a set of resources from which to fetch b-roll footage, music, and voiceover for this project.

The video provided with this submission is a teaser of the full promotional video. We are in the process of editing the full video and obtaining licensing for voiceover software. This project’s aim is to create a short video encompassing the key attributes of a company in a captivating and fun way.
