FUN SENSORY PLAY

Project Description:

Our project group DYNAMIX is a team of 6 members. Our goal is to develop a website that allows users to search the repository for different sensory activities by category and/or materials. Chantal Lavergne, our client wants to develop a platform for parents and educators to search and find different kid’s activities. . We are developing a website in WordPress which will fulfill the client’s requirements. This website can benefit the users to find different activities from different websites in a single interface.
Sensory play provides us with links of various activities which helps children to stimulate their senses. These activities help children to develop and improve their social skills such as coordination etc. and helps in stimulating their brain. These exercises make children more focused , improve social interaction and concentration, enhance their confidence and self-awareness. Moreover, these activities help children to reduce stress and anxiety, and improve self-esteem.
The final website will contain advanced search options where parents can find hundreds of activities. This website will act like a library of kid’s activities where parents and educators can find multiple activities from single user interface.
The links of articles will be fetched from third party website and stored in the database using web scrapping and web crawling technology. Web crawling and web scrapping technology will keep the website up to date.
Each article should be approved by administrator. Once the article is approved the user will be able to see the activity in their search results. The multi- select search options will enable users to filter their search results by selecting the ingredients and categories. The main benefit of the website is they can see multiple activities of one category from multiple websites in a single user interface. Once they click the link of the activity it will redirect to the third-party website. The users have the option to save their favorite activities. Users can login to the website and save the articles. If they are facing any issues regarding login, they have the option to contact the administrator. Once the administrator receives the message from the user, they will be able to investigate the issue. There is another page named “work with us” which is mainly for other vendors who want to collaborate with the client. They can connect with the client using this page.
This project will help parents and educators to find kids activities easily. Advanced search options will help them to find the appropriate activities according to the availability of the ingredients. Users can use this website as a library for kid’s activities. It will help the parents to get their kids involved in fun as well as educational activities. Users can find different activities from different blogs by using one User interface.
