CON6000 – Intro to Residential Construction
What is this course all about?
Students gain the knowledge required for the safe use of ladders, scaffold and rigging equipment as practiced on construction sites. Students are introduced to the Construction Regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the requirements of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), fall protection and excavation hazards. Students will also engage in a hands on construction project. This course is approved for granting an exemption to CON8115 (Construction Safety).
