Did you attend an orientation session? What did you find most helpful about orientation?

Yes I attended orientation. It was all right… It helped me in being less nervous. You have more responsibility there.

Did you think you were you prepared for the course?

NA

Do you think the dual credit was a good fit?

It was a good fit. The course was a good balance of theory, labs and hands on. In my regular classes I can’t sit too long so this is nice change. Good to have hands on experience and be in active class. It would have been challenging to stay in high school; it was not that exciting. So it was good to have the change. The course kept me more motivated and helped me get credits I needed to graduate.

Did you require any accommodations? Were your needs meet?

NA

How was transportation?

I drove my own car to class.

How comfortable were you with the technology aspect of the course?

NA

What were the greatest differences between high school and college?

High school is more lenient. College is sometimes more strict. But they are not always nagging. I like college… more freedom.

Challenges?

The electrical portion, big part of the dual credit course…It was more advanced and it was most challenging. I was a little skeptical. I have a great teacher; he wants me to do really well. He’s been very helpful, easy to communicate with.

Would you recommend that other students take a dual credit? Why or why not?

I would suggest it to any one interested in taking a dual credit it. It really helps if you know what you want to do.

What do you hope to do once you’ve graduated from High School?

I hope to do an apprenticeship in Refrigeration.

Last say/best advice

It was really good experience. Best thing about the dual credit is getting a license out of it.
