How did you learn about the dual credit program? Who did you complete your application with?
I found out about the dual credit program through my guidance counsellor. My application was filled out and completed in Guidance.
Did you attend an orientation session? What did you find most helpful about orientation?
NA
Did you think you were you prepared for the course?
Yes
Do you think the dual credit was a good fit?
It was a good fit. It was a really cool class. English Media fit in well with the college credit.
Did you require any accommodations? Were your needs meet?
No accommodations were needed.
How was transportation?
NA
How comfortable were you with the technology aspect of the course?
Blackboard was a little complicated, but I got used to it.
What were the greatest differences between high school and college?
It was not a huge difference. The college course was a little more difficult but it was still good. The college instructor was a good teacher; told funny stories.
If you needed to communicate with your College instructor, what was the best way?
We communicated directly with the instructor in class when we needed help.
Would you recommend that other students take a dual credit? Why or why not?
I would recommend the course because it is interesting, handy and a good thing to get out of the way if you are going to College.
What do you hope to do once you’ve graduated from High School?
I am going to take a gap year. I haven’t figured out what I want to do yet. I’ll likely work full time.
Last say/best advice
Tell the students to ask lots of questions, especially about Blackboard. Study for exams!
