In March, Advertising and Marketing Communications students and alumni packed the Observatory for the Algonquin College Annual Portfolio Review. Over 85 per cent of guests were Algonquin alumni – even going as far back as the 1980s.
The 2018 graduating class got the great chance to meet professionals from the industry and to share and receive feedback on the portfolios they’ve been hard at work on. To help everyone meet and connect, the students wore blue nametags and the guests wore red nametags.
Laura Bodé, an Advertising and Marketing Communications student, enjoyed the chance to meet and network with alumni and other guests from the field. “All the industry professionals were super nice! I also got to talk to people from Banfield, where I’m doing my internship.”
Another student, Matt Goudie, said: “It was a great opportunity to meet industry professionals after three years of hard work in the program.” Everyone had a great time, and the students were thrilled to connect with alumni and other peers in their field.
