Karsh Singh arrived in Canada as an international student in 2014. Inspired by his professors, the Algonquin College Construction Excellence building, and the vast array of possibility in the construction industry, Karsh has become an entrepreneur and undertaken some impressive community projects.

A successful and respected Ottawa technology entrepreneur and, impassioned community champion, Eli Fathi has shared his knowledge, experience and leadership through the many organizations he has been active in. Eli Fathi was Algonquin College’s 2015 Alumnus of the Year, and was made a Member of the Order of Canada in 2022.

Her extraordinary success as a photographer is shaped by the spirit of giving she embraces to help make the world a better place. She was made a Member of the Order of Canada in 2022.
Riaz Sidi
Riaz Sidi’s love for digital marketing led him to start a business that quickly blossomed. Sidi.io has continued to grow, and it was named one of Ottawa’s Fastest-Growing Companies for 2022 by the Ottawa Business Journal. Sidi was also named to the Ottawa Forty Under 40 for 2022.

Andrea Robichaud is a Regina-based chef who is passionate about helping her community. After losing her job during the pandemic, she put her energies into a new venture that supports local food producers and invests the profits in her community.

When Brian Fraser died in 2021 from leukemia, his friend Callum Fraser (no relation) knew he had to pick up the memoir Brian had started but was unable to finish. One Step at a Time was published in 2022 and details how Brian became the poster child for blood donation in Canada, and how he bravely faced his own mortality.
