The annual Students’ Association hockey game in Perth between students and alumni/staff ended in a student victory, 8-7. The game started out friendly but got more competitive as it progressed.
“This year marks the seventh year the SA has hosted, and it was so wonderful to have the Alumni & Friends Network sponsor for the first time and to have the AC Hub on board for the second year in a row,” said Chris Hahn, Dean of Perth Campus.
The annual event is always well-received by the community. At this year’s game, about 40 students, staff, and alumni were in the stands to cheer on the teams, and approximately 60 came back to the after-party for food, drinks and prizes. Ten alumni played in the game.
A hand-turned, wood trophy was commissioned by Alumni & Friends Network, and Jim Stinson, Perry Godse and Matt Bruins from Perth’s Heritage Carpentry program took on the challenge.
