Alumni gather at annual Sens game

The Algonquin College Alumni & Friends Network hosted more than 60 proud alumni and their guests at the sixth annual Algonquin College Alumni & Friends Network Suite event at Canadian Tire Centre. The Ottawa Senators took on the Philadelphia Flyers, and alumni from across many sectors and generations met to celebrate their connection to Algonquin and each other while they cheered on the home team.

Among the guests were past Premier’s Awards nominees, Alumnus/a of the Year recipients, Alumni Advisory Committee members, Foundation Board members, alumni from our Ottawa, Perth and Pembroke campuses, and members of the College leadership team.

Despite a home-team loss, everyone had a great time. Jonathan Kischel, an alumnus from the Broadcasting – Television program who is now the Director of Photography at JustPixl, said he was happy to be there.

“It’s good to catch up. We got to learn about the new building — I wasn’t aware of it. I hope I can return to campus to check it out!”

Kischel also mentioned he would love to learn about more about Alumni & Friends Network activities like the Suite event. Events like these do a lot to strengthen alumni connections, both to each other and to Algonquin College.
