Brian White Memorial Award for Athletic Achievement

Brian was a much loved and respected, long-time Coach for Algonquin Thunder Women’s Basketball and a former Thunder player himself. The player who wins this award demonstrates the qualities that Brian, known to so many as simply “Coach”, valued in a player. He appreciated players who showed grit, determination, work ethic and perseverance but, above all, he appreciated hustle.

The player who earns this award shows up at every game or training session with a positive attitude, ready to give 100% and sets a great leadership example for everyone. This award goes to the kind of player that Coach absolutely loved having on his team. The kind of player that Brian White was known to be.
