Mission:

Since 1993, the Royal City Soccer Club has hosted unique soccer camp experiences for thousands of boys and girls at all levels of soccer. We are a registered non-profit community organization registered in Ontario, Nova Scotia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia. We originated our programs in Guelph, hence, the Royal name. Through popular demand, our camps have quickly grown to over 100 different locations across Canada. We look forward to continuing offering unique soccer camp experiences for youth in Canada.

Volunteer Position Description:

Our Summer Soccer Camp Volunteers are needed between July-August. This is a great volunteer opportunity if you have a passion for soccer, working with children and recreational outdoor activities.

Between Sept-June is our off-season – but we start accepting volunteers as early as March. Please apply at our website under our STAFF tab.

Duties include assisting staff with:

  • Facilitating soccer drills and warm-ups (mornings only)
  • Set up/clean up camp equipment each day
  • Helping with camp activities
  • Assisting with supervision in the swimming pool (afternoons only)
  • Helping camp staff with any other needs that arise during the camp week

Volunteers may volunteer for one of 3 sessions:

  • Morning (8:30am-12:30pm)
  • Afternoon (12:30pm-4:30pm)
  • Full-Day (8:30am-4:30pm)

We ask that our volunteers be available on a weekly basis, and must be minimum 14 years old to apply. If you are 18 or over by the time the camp starts you will need a recent police check to submit once you are accepted. If you already have a police check vulnerable sector screening, please note this under “certifications”.

Volunteer Position Requirements:

  • Police Record Check
  • Outdoor activities
  • Working in a group/public setting
  • Standing for long periods of time
