Volunteer Position Description:

During June and July, go door to door with West Nile virus fact sheets and offer to do a back yard check to see if there is a catch basin or any standing water. If no one is home, a door hanger with information will be left behind.

Participate at Ottawa Public Health’s promotion booths with fact sheets for West Nile virus disease.

Volunteer Requirements:

  • Police record check
  • Minimum 19 years of age
  • Driver’s Licence
  • Own Vehicle
  • Bilingual (French)
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Outdoor Activities
