Volunteer Position Title: Social Media Coordinator
Volunteer Time Frame: Ongoing

Mission: The Carlington Community Association (CCA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to building a greener, safer, better Carlington. The CCA acts as a communication link to provide information about events, workshops, classes the association sponsors as well as information about other organizations in Carlington and their events and workshops.
Volunteer Position Description:
A volunteer position, working from home under the current Carlington Community Association President for an average of 6 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Experience managing social media accounts, including (but not limited to) creating engaging posts which advertise programs and events,
- sharing articles/photos/videos that might be of interest to our community,
- monitoring account engagement and activity,
- cross-promoting activities and events for other service providers in the neighbourhood, and increasing the Carlington Community Association social media reach by engaging with individuals /organizations via their accounts.
- Initiate an Instagram account but understand the boundaries of non-profit volunteer organization.Skills:
- Attention to detail, creative flair, excellent communication skills, able to take initiative, able to prioritize posts appropriately (according to relevance, urgency, interest), reliable, punctual.
- Qualities or Attitudes: Non-judgmental, inclusive and respectful.

Boundaries of the Position:
- Exercise good judgment about posts, with particular respect for diverse perspectives
- Seek input from president about content of posts if ever in doubt.
- Friendly and appropriate interactions with follower(s)
- Respect follower confidentiality
Success Measures:
- Increase in the number of followers
- Regular and consistent posts on social media
- Increased engagement from followers and/or good rapport with followers
- Good boundaries and confidentiality maintained
- Good judgment and timely communication with president as necessary
- Enjoyment of volunteer experience
