Mission: Inspiring the next generation of athletes through the power of sports. At the Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group (OSEG), we believe that all children in our community should have access to sport, and the opportunity to learn and develop. That’s why we have established the OSEG Foundation.
Together, with our coaches and players from the Ottawa REDBLACKS, Ottawa 67’s and Ottawa Fury FC – the OSEG Foundation will invest in local programs and initiatives that get more kids off the sidelines and into the game.
Volunteer Position Description:
Do you thrive in a fun and action-packed environment? Do you love smiling and making others smile? Are you excited by the thought of creating an amazing game day experience for 24,000 cheering fans? The OSEG Foundation is looking to recruit high-spirited volunteers to support our REDBLACKS Game Day team. Support at our frontline by welcoming and directing eager fans through this world-class stadium. When the game is in play, you’re welcome to stand and watch the action!
• Ensure every fan has an exceptional game day experience
• Assist in greeting fans with fun promotional items as they enter and exit the building
• Act as a directional and wayfinding resource to fans during half-time
• Help fans locate merch store, washrooms, concessions, designated sections, etc. upon entrance
• Clearly and enthusiastically communicate with fans
• Answer general inquiries about the Stadium (e.g., directional and wayfinding)
Volunteer Requirements:
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• The ability to stand for longer periods of time
• Eagerness to help where needed and adapt to fluid responsibilities on game day
• Comfortable working in large crowds
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Engage with other volunteers, staff, and fans in a professional and courteous manner
• Genuine enthusiasm for community involvement within the sports and entertainment sector
• Approximately a 5-hour time commitment
• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Ability to volunteer evenings and weekends during select REDBLACKS
* Volunteers are welcome to get involved on a game-by-game basis. Need not be available for every game.
