Mission:

Safe Wings Ottawa is a program of the Ottawa Field-Naturalists’ Club to reduce bird mortality from window collisions through research, prevention and rescue. Our mission is to learn more about the extent of the problem in Ottawa, to raise awareness about the causes of window strikes, and to encourage effective solutions.

Volunteer Position Description:

We currently use a shared server for our email and use Mailman to send out email alerts to volunteers, but it’s not efficient and many emails bounce because of our shared server. We have a Google for Non-Profits/Google+ account that would use to manage our email but would need to migrate it seamlessly. We would also like a better solution to the email alerts, such as a Google Group, but need help setting that up. This volunteer task can be done remotely (we have no office), and we are available for a meeting to discuss our needs. We would like to have our email issues sorted out by February.

Volunteer Requirements:

  • Sitting for long periods of time
