Volunteer Position Description:

Lotus Centre for Special Music Education is dedicated to providing access to adapted music education opportunities for the special needs community! We are currently looking for volunteers to join our team for Sunday Respite Programs, PA day camps, our Exceptional Choir, and our Adult Music Social Program. Volunteers work at our main programming location in Kanata and assist in students’ meaningful participation in recreational programs. Volunteers facilitate student participation in a variety of musical activities by providing encouragement and 1:1 support as needed. Volunteers help support staff assist students in daily living tasks such as feeding, and help staff facilitates other program activities such as craft, outdoor play, and clean-up.

Volunteer Requirements: A vulnerable sector police background check is required. We encourage volunteer applications from students looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and unique organization!
