Mission:

The Cancer Foundation is the voice for cancer survivorship in Eastern Ontario. The Cancer Foundation aims to give the many faces of cancer one voice and to mobilize dedicated professionals and volunteers in a way that changes the lives of those in our community who are touched by cancer.

Volunteer Position Description:

Seeking a volunteer who is willing to provide ergonomics training/workshop to approximately 30 employees through:

  • Analyzing the interaction between people and machinery/equipment
  • Assessing the design of products/systems via practical experiments and making them easier to use
  • Identifying problems by observing and interviewing individuals in particular environments
  • Assessing health and safety standards
  • Offering information, advice, training, and recommendations to staff.

Volunteer Requirements:

  • Must be certified in ergonomics and human factors by the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics & Human Factors (CIEHF)
  • Training Required
  • Interacting with the public / in a group setting
