Mission: Founded in 2016, the Ottawa Paw Pantry is a 100% volunteer run non-profit pet food resource established to help prevent the abandonment or surrender of animals when their families cannot afford to feed them.

Volunteer Position Description:

Ottawa Paw Pantry is seeking to fill 3 roles in event and fundraising. We are looking for individuals who are creative thinkers and “go-getters” in an effort to fund raise and create community awareness for the Ottawa Paw Pantry.

Reporting to the Outreach Managers, this volunteer position, supported by a committee, will provide creative and resourceful ideas for new events and fundraising initiatives. These volunteers will:

  • Show initiative and suggest potential event/fundraiser ideas
  • Brainstorm and strategize possible community events and fundraisers
  • Think “outside the box”
  • Liaise with community partners and fundraising organizers to establish costs, rules, and expectations
  • Participate in community events, including set-up and take-down of event tent, table, banners, merchandise, etc.

Volunteer Requirements:

  • Interacting with the public / in a group setting
