Mission:

Ottawa Architecture Week is a community-run weeklong festival celebrating architecture and design. We host a range of events including tours, exhibits, movie screenings, panel discussions, lectures, and social events. All of our events are open to the public.

Volunteer Position Description:

We are looking for new people to join the Ottawa Architecture Week organizing committee!

Event and tours coordinator would help us imagine and put together a wide range of exciting events. Ideal candidates are creative, adaptable, detail-oriented, and full of can-do attitude. You must be comfortable cold-calling prospective partners, and maintaining a healthy relationship with them.

  • All positions are unpaid volunteering opportunities.
  • Background in architecture or urban design is appreciated but not required.
  • Overall commitment is about 5-10 hours per week.
  • The committee meets once a week and works remotely the rest of the time during the planning stages. In lead up and during the festival, we meet more often to prep and run the events. This year the festival is scheduled for September 30th ⁠to October 6th.
  • Successful candidates are often welcomed to participate in subsequent years.
