Mission: CHSL is a non-profit health advocacy organization that specializes in food and nutrition. It publishes the advertisement-free Food for Life Report, a consumer magazine, the subscription revenue from which is CHSL’s chief source of revenue. CHSL advocates reforms to national and international laws and policies to help improve public health. Its mission is the help make Canadians more savvy eaters and government and industry more accountable.

Volunteer Position Description:

We need some help designing issues of Food for Life Report, which is still in the start-up phase. Locating and placing images and helping to layout the 32-page magazine is necessary. Help to design and a political cartoon and develop other elements of the magazine is is welcome.

The volunteer can work from home and check-in with the editor by phone, Zoom or other on-line means.

FLR is designed in Adobe InDesign.

Volunteer Requirements: Experience with, and access to Adobe InDesign software is essential. Magazine is published in English.
