Community Project Highlights (January)
Posted on Monday, January 28th, 2019
Our #ACvolunteers started the year strong by welcoming students to Algonquin at Winter Orientation, making delicious meals for the community, and much more! Here’s a look back at a few of the ways our volunteers made a difference this January…
- Kicked off the winter term at AC Day 1, which included a special pop-up Community Project at Big Sky Ranch!
- ‘Filled the Freezer’ at the Parkdale Food Cupboard with butternut squash soup, chocolate chip cookies, and mushroom quinoa soup.
- Prepared food and served lunch at Shepherds of Good Hope – an organization that assists over 1,500 people in Ottawa every day.
- Cleaned the kitchen and toy room at Roger Neilson House, which provides support for children, youth, and their families facing progressive life limiting illnesses.
