Mission: Mentors in our programs are role models that teach by example. The importance of giving and giving back, education, respect for family, peers, and the community are all taught through these life-changing friendships.

The transformation of a child into a confident, concerned, and motivated young person is truly something amazing. Our staff and volunteers take incredible pride in not only the role they play, but in how these children step into their own.

Volunteer Position Description: Go Girls! is a group mentoring program dedicated to positively shaping the lives of young women and girls through a positive self-image. Designed for girls between the ages of 12 and 14, it is focused on physical activity, balanced eating, and self-esteem, setting them on a path to reach their full potential.

Program is 7 weeks long for 1.5 to 2 hours per week. Program available in all schools across Ottawa, we have a greater need for Kanata, Orleans, Ottawa South, Nepean, Barrhaven areas.

Female volunteers only for this program.

Volunteer Position Requirements:

  • Police Records Check
  • Interacting with the public / in a group setting
  • Training required
