Evening Sciences
Academic Upgrading Sciences (College Preparation Biology and/or College Preparation Chemistry) are part-time individual science courses in the evenings from 6-9pm. They are offered twice per year; in late-August and early- January and run for 16 consecutive weeks.
- The program provides students the pre-requisites for some of the health sciences programs at Algonquin College
- These courses are not accepted as prerequisites for the BScN degree program.

Upcoming Evening Science Intakes:
- Winter 2025: Applications for the 2025 January intake are now open. Please click HERE to fill out an application form.
Applications stay open until class capacity is reached or until the course starts.
To be eligible for Evening Science courses you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Live in the Ottawa area
- Meet the English requirement by either completing the Academic Upgrading Initial Assessment (AUIA) or having one of the following courses: Academic Upgrading Communication 5 (ENL5952 or higher) or Communications 1 (ENL1813)
