Woof Pack FAQs

To become an Algonquin’s Woof Pack handler, you must be a staff or faculty member in good standing.

If you are a faculty member and would like to request a class visit, please email academicsuccess@algonquincollege.com.

As with any “service” type dog, or any dog for that matter, always ask the handler before you pet the dog.

We are not currently recruiting new dogs to the Woof Pack. If you are staff or faculty at Algonquin College in good standing and wish to be put on a waitlist for consideration, please email: academicsuccess@algonquincollege.com.

Please note that there may be other dogs on campus who are not part of the Woof Pack. Many service dogs will have “DO NOT PET” or “WORKING DOG” signs on their vests. Please respect those signs and do not pet those dogs.

Each session is unique depending on the dog and the location. Some locations, like the Student Commons, will be busier, whereas C037 – Academic Success Centre is a much quieter location. Please be patient when waiting to see a member of our Woof Pack.
