Guides and Services
- Citing Sources and Avoiding Plagiarism (guide): Avoid plagiarism by learning how to cite your sources. This guide includes an interactive tutorial on the basics of APA style, which is one of the most common styles used for citation. It also includes guides and resources for how to use common citation styles such as APA, MLA, and IEEE.
- Workshops (service): Participate in group sessions for guidance in finding credible resources, avoiding plagiarism, and citing your sources. If you have questions about citing or you need help to get started, these workshops are a great resource. More workshops are offered near the beginning and end of each term.
- Library One-on-One Appointments (service): The Library provides research support in the form of advice or assistance regarding search strategy, finding resources and basic citation support.
- Writing Coaching (service): In this free service, the writing coach can help you with formatting a paper, citing and referencing, and self-editing techniques, among other aspects of academic writing.
