Program Quality Assurance Committee (PQAC)

The Program Quality Assurance Committee (PQAC) contributes to the continuous improvement of programs at Algonquin College by championing quality assurance principles, providing feedback on quality assurance policies and processes, and engaging in the following peer review activities:

  1. Offering formative, constructive feedback on Program Quality Review (PQR) reports to ensure compliance with College policies and best practices, as well as effective implementation of PQR Actions.
  2. Identifying themes across PQRs and reporting on these annually to the Senior Academic Leadership Team through the Chair, Program Quality and Renewal.
  3. Offering formative, constructive feedback on Course Quality Review (CQR) reports for General Education and Degree Breadth courses, to ensure compliance with College policies and best practices and responsiveness to stakeholder demand.
  4. Assessing proposals for new General Education and Degree Breadth courses to make recommendations for adoption and development.
