Program Modifications and Renewal
Programs delivered by the College must maintain currency and relevance to support graduates to meet the evolving industry needs and demands. The program renewal process enables evidence-based updates to curriculum based on drivers for change. The primary driver for change is the Program Quality Review (PQR) process. Recommendations arising from the analysis of evidence collected through the PQR guide updates to the program and its delivery. Other drivers for change include accreditation bodies, Program Advisory Committees (PAC), Student Councils, labour market reports, environmental scans, or updates to provincial program standards.
Academic Development supports the implementation of curriculum modifications based on identified drivers of change. The process and timeline for the modification is determined based on review of the drivers and the scope of the proposed changes, and are confirmed in discussion with the department Chair.
