Welcome Message
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Electronic/Electro-Mechanical Studies Department (EEMSD). The programs clustered within EEMSD are those programs that take virtual world ideas and align them with the needs of the real world. These programs are unified to service the needs of the manufacturing world as they pertain particularly to the Ottawa region. Moreover, with the Ottawa region being the leader in advanced technology, the skills you learn here will be transferable throughout the world. I might point to the success of the delivery of our program in Faridabad India as a sample of the global skills learned within EEMSD. In this area, students transfer freely between the two campuses. EEMSD programs range from one year pre-apprenticeship certificates to four year bachelor programs, complete with appropriate laddering mechanisms in place. EEMSD conducts extensive research and development projects with government, industry and other educational partners and has produced new and innovative products for the market place with the assistance of our research scientists and students. With 23 laboratories including precision machining, electronics, optical fiber, high powered laser labs, mechanical modeling and element analysis, industrial controls and robotics labs the EEMSD department has the capacity to take an idea, from its earliest inception point through too a marketable prototype.

So I invite you to participate in the most exciting and applicable learning experience that you will receive anywhere in the world.

Sincerely,

Stephen Finnagan
