Admissions Dates & Deadlines                                        <Admissions Home

The Admissions Department at Algonquin College in the Ottawa Valley will assess your application and provide you with direction during the application process.

The following are some key dates you should be aware of if you are planning to join us in the fall of 2010:

December 1, 2009

The College begins receiving applications from the Ontario College Application Service. (www.ontariocolleges.ca)

Applications will be available on OCAS as of September 28, 2009 for the Fall 2010 intake.

February 1, 2010

This is the Equal Opportunity Deadline for applicants.

Any applicant who applies before this deadline lessens the risk of being placed on a wait list and ultimately not obtaining a seat in the program they are most interested in.  Applicants who apply after February 1st are considered on a first come, first served basis, depending on seat availability.

February 5, 2010

Algonquin College begins making offers of admission to applicants.  Many of these offers will be conditional based on high school students as well as mature applicants completing the necessary admission requirements.

May 1, 2010

Applicants have until this date to confirm their offer of admission.  They can do this on line at www.ontariocolleges.ca

Applicants who apply after May 1st will be asked to confirm within two weeks of receiving an offer of admission.

July 15, 2010

Tuition fees for the fall term are due.  Students who have applied for a student loan should contact the College's Financial Aid Department to inquire about a fee deferral.

Applying to College:

When applying to a college program, please review the admission requirements by reading the full program details for the program you are applying to.  You can find this information under the Admission Requirements page, and under the specific Program Monograph.

Applications to Algonquin College programs are made through the Ontario College Application Service, with the exception of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc.N.) program.  All applications to the B.Sc.N. program are made through the Ontario University Application Centre.

Applications to college programs cost $95 and allow applicants to make up to 5 choices, including 3 at any one college.
